Lynn Gilmartin (born 3 November 1984 in Dublin, Ireland. Emigrated to Australia in 1986) is an Australian actress and TV host, best known as the anchor of the World Poker Tour on Fox Sports Networks (US). In 2020, she was inducted into The Australian Poker Hall of Fame.
Amanda Leatherman is currently working with a webcast that interviews rising poker players and rose to stardom as a poker host. Apart from that, Amanda is also an exceptional actress who got featured in the movie Detention. Furthermore, she is also a part of the Tv series, The PokerStars.Net Big Game, and World Poker Tour.
Lynn Gilmartin soon found herself in the poker world. In 2009 Lynn Gilmartin became a journalist and started to follow the poker circuit for PokerStar.tv and PokerNews.com. Lynn Gilmartin travels a lot due to her job and she has reported games with buy-ins ranging $100,000 to $250,000. Lynn Gilmartin is a cute face in poker. Lynn has traveled through more than 30 countries, over 100 cities within them, and has plenty more to add to that impressive passport-stamp collection as the anchor of the World Poker Tour and WPT Alpha8. Gilmartin is married to professional poker player and World Poker Tour Mexico commentator, Angel Guillen.
Career[edit]
Gilmartin began following the poker circuit in 2009 as a reporter for PokerNews and PokerStars.tv, regularly presenting from the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour and Asia Pacific Poker Tour.[1]
She first hit Australian and UK television screens in 2012 as the host of Crown's Aussie Millions Poker Championship[2] and continued into 2013 as sideline reporter for ESPN Australia's coverage of the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific, and One HD and ESPN Australia's coverage of Crown's Aussie Millions Poker Championship.[3]
Later in 2013, Gilmartin moved to Los Angeles to assume the role as anchor of the World Poker Tour on Fox Sports Networks,[4] alongside commentators Mike Sexton and Vince van Patten. At the same time, Gilmartin also took the roles of anchor and producer of the World Poker Tour's high roller series, WPT Alpha8, on Fox Sports 1, alongside commentators Ali Nejad and Olivier Busquet.[5]
Gilmartin featured on the December 2013 cover of Bluff magazine.[6]
In February 2018, Gilmartin hosted the American Poker Awards.[7]
In 2018, Gilmartin began her film career with the role of Gemma in the film Museo,[8] which won a Silver Bear award for Best Screenplay at the Berlin International Film Festival.[9] She has since appeared in Australian film productions, How Do You Know Chris?[10] and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee, the former of which is due for release in late December 2020.
In January 2020, Gilmartin was inducted into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame[11] for her contributions to broadcasting for more than a decade.
Gilmartin had a guest role as Jessica Quince on Australian soap opera Neighbours from 23 April 2020.[12]

Poker[edit]
In 2015, Gilmartin won the largest-ever European Poker Tour Women's Event in Barcelona, Spain, securing an EPT trophy and a first-place prize of €5,890. The event had a record-breaking field size of 148 entries with a prize pool of €28,712.[13]
In July 2017 Gilmartin made her first cash at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, finishing in 49th place in Event #70: $1,000 No Limit Hold'em - Ladies Championship for $2,301.[14]
In January 2020, Gilmartin was inducted into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame. Speaking at her induction ceremony at Crown Melbourne, Gilmartin said, 'This is a game that makes you smarter, wiser, more present, more in tune with yourself and with others. You learn life lessons by the orbit.'[15]

Philanthropy[edit]
Gilmartin is an ambassador for WPT Foundation, hosting annual fundraising events for beneficiaries TGR Foundation, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Education Reform Now.
Gilmartin is a global ambassador for Wildlife Warriors.[16] In an effort to support Australian wildlife during the 2020 bushfires, Gilmartin rallied poker players all over the world to donate more than A$100,000 to Wildlife Warriors.[17]

Only members can nominate a woman who has met the following criteria:
A candidate must have been active as a player or industry leader for a minimum of 15 years prior to election. (January 1994 to present, is the minimum amount of time.)
A player/industry leader must have contributed to the world of poker in some significant way. This person can qualify by either winning major poker tournaments, or by making significant contributions to the industry of poker.
Player/industry leader must be a proponent of women’s poker. Even is she does not play in women’s events, she must support them.

Barbara Enright
A true class act, this top female player became the first woman to ever win a major open World Series of Poker event when she won the pot-limit hold’em title in 1996. In addition to holding an open-event bracelet, Enright has also won two bracelets in the WSOP ladies championship.
The only woman to make the WSOP $10,000 main event final table, Enright has also received the all-around best player award at the 2000 Legends of Poker tournament series. In 2007, Enright was the first woman ever inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
World Poker Tour Female Host
Susie Isaacs
This southern poker professional was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but has been working the Las Vegas tables since 1986. Susie Isaacs won back-to-back ladies championships at the World Series of Poker in 1996 and 1997. Isaacs was also featured on the show Poker Royale: The James Woods Gang vs. The Unabombers and has been a frequent contributor to Card Player magazine.
Linda Johnson
The former publisher of Card Player magazine, Johnson is the current World Poker Tour announcer, a Card Player author, and a well-respected player. She won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 1997 in the $1,500 seven-card Razz event.
When not working with the WPT, Johnson is the organizer of Card Player Cruises, the host of several “at sea” poker tournaments.
She was a co-founder of the World Poker Industry Conference, the World Poker Players Conference, and the Tournament Directors Association. She was the original chairperson for the Poker Players Alliance and still serves on its board of directors. Today, Linda teaches for the WPT Boot Camp and hosts charity events and seminars in cardrooms around the world. Known as “The First Lady of Poker,” Johnson has been worthy ambassador to the game over the years.
Marsha Waggoner
Marsha Waggoner was born and raised in Australia. She spent some time as a blackjack dealer in Sydney but made most of her money playing in poker games on her nights off. In the 1980s, Waggoner moved to the United States with her three children. She settled in the Los Angeles area and supported her family by playing poker. Waggoner has cashed in more than 100 major tournaments, including 18 times at the World Series of Poker. She has close to a million dollars in career tournament winnings.
